Plot
The movie is centered upon Anand, known as “Mr. Bachchan“, an Income Tax officer with exceptional skills in hunting black money, remaining strong-minded and resolute. After being suspended multiple times, Anand succeeds in love when he goes back to his native place and falls in love with Jikki, his Marwadi villager wife. Initially, he starts his career after settling down, however, fate has something else in store when he is forced to conduct a massive income tax raid on a powerful politician of the locality Mudyam Jaggayya.
This attack provoked his anger and feeling of defeat so he decided to take revenge on Mr. Bachchan. Essentially, the movie follows how Mr. Bachchan overpowers Politician Jaggayya in different strategic ways and takes down jaggayya’s mask that conceals his avariciousness from the general public. While the story was overwhelming, at times sad, and did have explosive fights throughout, it was the rush of events that got people glued to the screens.

“Mr. Bachchan’s” release took place on the Freedom Day in India of August 15, 2024 in a theatrical release. Though the reviews of the movie were not very positive, the film was indeed trimmed down by 13 minutes and was released on the 12th of September for online streaming on Netflix. Intriguingly, the movie’s appeal was broadened as it was made available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and even Malayalam versions because of which a larger audience was able to access and appreciate it all over the world which is a win in its own right.
